Maersk launches Far East–West Coast South America service

The new AC1 service will deploy eight vessels with capacities ranging between 4,000 TEU and 5,000 TEU. The service rotation will connect Ningbo, Busan, Lazaro Cardenas, Buenaventura and Guayaquil before returning to Ningbo. The addition of AC1 strengthens Maersk’s presence on the Asia–Latin America trade lane and provides direct links between major manufacturing centres in Asia and key gateways in Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador.
