CMA CGM announces new PSS charges on Europe, Africa and Indian Ocean routes

From 1 June 2026, the carrier will apply a US$500 per TEU surcharge on cargo moving from all Asian ports to North Europe. The surcharge covers cargo from Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh to North European ports, including the UK and destinations from Portugal to Finland and Estonia. CMA CGM said the surcharge applies to all cargo and all contracts with validity longer than 30 days. The company also introduced a US$300 per TEU PSS from the Far East to Pointe des Galets in Reunion Island, effective from 1 June 2026. For East Africa, CMA CGM announced a US$350 per TEU surcharge from Central and North China to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The surcharge will take effect from 28 May 2026. In addition, the carrier updated reefer surcharges for shipments to Port Gentil, Gabon. From 22 May 2026, CMA CGM will apply a PSS of US$600 or EUR500 per reefer container from all origins to Gabon. For cargo from the United States, US territories, selected Latin American countries and Australia, the surcharge will apply from 20 June 2026.
